HS5-TD Markes International
The HS5-TD™ is a slimline module for the UNITY thermal desorber that allows headspace volatiles from up to five standard headspace vials to be introduced into the focusing trap of the thermal desorption unit.
The combination of headspace with thermal desorption results in up to 100 times higher sensitivity relative to static (equilibrium) headspace, but without any of the foaming or aerosol issues that sometimes accompany purge-and-trap methods.
The HS5-TD is perfect for any laboratory wishing to enhance the capability of their UNITY thermal desorption unit to accommodate headspace sampling of solid or liquid samples. It is also used by analysts to extend the overall volatility and application range and for sensitivity enhancement compared with static headspace alone.
