Oven Cooling for GC Systems (ICE DOOR)

Now you can carry out chromatographic separations, which need a start temperature between 0 °C and 30 °C, simply and comfortably with the SIM ICE-DOOR. The cooling of the GC oven room will be achieved with a compressor cooler, so that you can relinquish the cooling with liquid cooling agents like CO2 or N2, which are effortful in the handling and to which various safety aspects must be taken into account.

The maintenance-free ICE-DOOR consists of a cooling element which is inside the door of the GC oven, as well as the SIM multi cooling device with a compressor cooler. Hereby temperatures to 0°C can be reached in the oven room. This is important for special applications e.g. in the gas-analytics or for volatile analytes, because the chromatographic resolution can be improved at lower temperatures. The use of the ICE-DOOR also offers one's services for separations with start temperatures above the normal room temperature, because the equilibration time until the start temperature is reached, can be shortened.

 

El sistema ICE-DOOR SIM está disponible actualmente para los GC Agilent y Shimadzu, pero se puede personalizar para cualquier GC. El refrigerador también puede integrarse en los sistemas existentes ya que solamente se tiene que modificar la puerta del GC. El equipo solamente requiere una conexión para el dispositivo de multi-refrigaración, evitando la necesidad de trabajar con líquidos refrigerantes.

Este nuevo sistema refrigeración del horno se desarrolló en un proyecto de colaboración entre el fabricante “SIM Scientific Instruments (SIM)” y el instituto para la energía y tecnología medioambiental (AITU) (Ministerio Federal de la economía y la Tecnología Alemana).
